These open-backed bezels are made of .999 fine silver and can be placed silver clay and baked in place with it.
The tabs protruding from the base of the bezel provide a good connection to the metal clay, creating a solid connection.

The open back allows the use of a pointed stone. In this application, the metal clay must be removed from the open area at the base of the setting to allow room for the point of the stone.
